What would your autobiography be called?
‘Against All Odds’. Even my birth was against the odds, and since then it’s been challenge after challenge. But setbacks are blessings in disguise — we’re all on the right path.
If you had a superpower, what would it be?
Telepathy. I’ve always been intrigued by why people make the decisions they make; the thought process behind their choices. I want to be able to understand without the need for words.
What’s your secret talent?
I am a trained classical dancer. I’ve even performed at some international shows, in another lifetime.
What’s a personal project or hobby you’re passionate about right now?
Honestly, it’s hard to choose. I’m always working on new music, and I’m involved in a couple of ongoing DnD campaigns. I’m also very into US sports at the moment!
What’s your ultimate road trip destination?
I’d hit the coast with my family, uncovering hidden gems along the way! Like digital marketing, road-tripping is about knowing the journey and finding standout moments that make an impact.
Who’s easier to manage: your clients or your kids?
Both have their challenges and require different approaches. With clients, I’m working in partnership, fostering open communication towards common objectives. With kids, I’m fostering skill and behavioural development that will enable them to independently work through life’s challenges.
If you could onboard any client in the world, who would it be and why?
I would love to onboard an airline or travel company! It would be fun to work with like-minded people who enjoy jet-setting across the globe and are always looking to their next adventure.
What are you listening to right now?
Honestly, I only listen to one playlist every day and it’s a random assortment of my favourite songs. It’s a mishmash of rock, pop, and electric called ‘Mix Tape Roulette’.
If you were a Pantone colour, what colour would you be?
If I had to choose a Pantone that resonates most, it’d be 491 — earthy, understated, and deep, like the reflective thoughts I often return to for inspiration.
What’s a quote that’s stuck with you?
If I’m being fancy, it’s “Journeys end in lovers’ meeting” from Twelfth Night. If I’m not, it’s “When it comes to plastic surgery and sushi, never be attracted by a bargain”.
Which punctuation mark do you identify with the most?
Curious by nature, I’m always asking ‘why’ or seeking a second opinion. I guess that means I identify most with the question mark — but what do you think?
What's the strangest thing you've had to source stock photos for?
I once had to source a picture of King Charles on a motorbike. I ended up splicing together stock images of London, a bike, the crown jewels, and the King to create a masterpiece.
What’s your all-time favourite film?
I’m a bit of a high-concept sci-fi nerd who also loves a good character drama. ‘Interstellar’ hits all those notes for me, complete with its amazing score and cinematography.
What was the last Reddit rabbit hole you went down?
I recently got stuck on a thread about Elon Musk being one of the top 20 players of Diablo, a role-playing PC Game. How does he have time to engage in a game with millions of competitive players? Wild!
If you were gifted $500 to spend on anything BUT Google Ads — what's your impulse buy?
If I had $500 to spend without thinking twice, I would buy a pair of shoes on my wishlist and a handbag if there were a penny left. I'm so obsessed with accessories!
If Google suddenly disappeared, which search engine would you befriend next?
I’d buddy up with the Yellow Pages and launch a business called 123AAA Amazing SEO. With that name, I’d secure the top spot in every listing — and watch the clients roll in!
What website do you frequent the most?
When I’m concerned about politics and interest rates, it’s the ABC website. For everything else, I go to Mashable.
Are you an Android or an iPhone person?
Definitely iPhone. The primary reason I'm an iPhone person is because I get to have a quirky-personalised name for it. And I have poor purchasing tendencies.
When the Internet’s down, what do you do for fun?
If I can’t access the Internet, I’ll probably be in the kitchen cooking or consuming my latest concoction. I love a good curry on rice — or something with a lot of spice!
What's your go-to 'taking a break from coding' activity?
I enjoy unwinding from coding with a sunny stroll, listening to some techno, catching up on the news, and surfing the financial markets — keeping an eye on the latest in crypto.
